Pray for Peace
Accessible captions, audio description, alt text and BSL all make films and content available to D/deaf, blind and partially sighted, and benefit many others. We're working with partners Coldhouse Collective, Everyfield Films and several film festivals, to provide accessible screenings, educational workshops and open source guidelines (click on the image below to download).

Our approach to accessibility

We see access as a creative opportunity rather than a functional tool. This means that we value the end-users experience, in the same way that all other aspects, soundscape, colour grade etc. in a good film are considered. We are specialists in the language of sport and adventure, so our scripts reflect this, we choose film appropriate voice over artists so that the AD fits with the narrative, and we take time with descriptive captions so they accurately reflect what is said or heard. This is not an AI or cookie cutter approach, this is creative, and respectful.

Not about us without us

Working with disabled creatives is essential to our work. Poppy Levison, our lead consultant is blind and has been instrumental in shaping how we work. We also use several other disabled people to advise, narrate, create BSL, as well as consult on disability narratives.
If you need a film audio described or captioned, help with a disability narrative, or would like a workshop delivered to your team. Please contact us for a quote or more information.
